The Outlaw Roadshow Nashville adds Fleurie!

The name is French. The singer is American. And the music — a dreamy, cinematic pop sound that sweeps, swoons, and soars — creates its own geography. On her new EP, Arrows, Fleurie balances herself between two different worlds: one, an organic place where pianos twinkle and vocals flutter; the other, a digital place where electronic drums, synthesizers and computer programming meet.

The musical moniker of Michigan-born, Nashville-based Lauren Strahm - a singer/songwriter who plays multiple instruments and co-produces her own material - Fleurie is an artist's artist. She creates lush, layered music with a skeleton crew, and her songs mix mainstream-worthy melodies with arrangements that push creative boundaries. In other words, this songwriter isn't chasing trends. She's creating them.

The Outlaw Roadshow is absolutely free to the public (ticket giveaways begin soon!) July 17 & 18 at the Mercy and High Watt in downtown Nashville. New artists announced each day!

The thought process in creating a new kind of music event has emerged as the old gods of the music industry began crumbling into the dust. We saw amazing artists everywhere not being celebrated and so we created The Outlaw Roadshow. Today we are excited announce the family just got a little larger as we welcome No Country for New Nashville into the fold. Today's music selection is their curated selection for the Outlaw Roadshow.

Committed to providing Music City with the latest in local and national show coverage, news, features, premieres, interviews, and more, No Country For New Nashville began as a way to raise awareness about the Nashville music scene, and has transformed into a premiere tastemaking destination over its first four years. Though still primarily a blog, now sporting a large and eclectic group of local writers and photographers, No Country also produces live events through its No Country Presents wing, including a weekly showcase at Nashville's Acme Feed & Seed, and hosts a regular podcast.
