BREAKING OUT - One of the music acts I am the most excited to see in Nashville this year is Midnite On Pearl Beach. The Chicago-by-way-of-Louisiana band have a really fantastic pop sensibility, an even better sense of rhythm and flow - and at the heart of it all are the vocals and creative wit of Justin Jahnke.. a gifted, vastly under-celebrated musician who has definitely made my life better the last few years. A mainstay on my weekly radio program, these layered tracks provide cinematic backdrops for listeners - one after the next; an almost impossible feat when most people aren't constructing records any longer. The upcoming LP, Scrowlers, is set for release this fall. Get ready to be blown away by this band in their first ever Outlaw Roadshow appearance on Saturday 7/18.
