About a year ago, I was excited to finally see TOY SOLDIERS play a live set for the first time ever. The Philadelphia band lead by singer/songwriter Ron Gallo had a great reputation and a few really good songs. Perhaps, I thought, my expectations were too high. By the end of the third song in their set, I had texted Adam Duritz - telling him emphatically that we need to work with this band. Since then I've seen them a few times and they never fail in producing some of the most swoon-worthy live sets.
Billed by USA Today as “Top Bands to Watch in 2013,” the accolades are continuing to stack up for Toy Soldiers. WXPN’s Bruce Warren called their live set an "undeniable barn-burner," and we would definitely agree with the assessment. The Maybe Boys is the band's new record and their best to-date. What you have here is a band that's ready to explode. We are delighted to play our part in making that happen. This is a very big add for The Outlaw Roadshow and a set you will not want to miss!
