MEAN CREEK will play the Outlaw Roadshow

Confirmed to Play - Oct 18th

STORY OF A BAND - Over the last four years, it would be hard to argue there have been more impressive young rock bands in America than this oneMEAN CREEK have quickly gone from Friday night standouts, to Boston rock heroes, to national touring mates for a number of acts - including playing with Counting Crows on last summer's Outlaw Roadshow national tour. They have a breakout album poised to continue the growth which drops on Jan 28 Feb 18 (on Old Flame). It's name alludes to the changes of the last year: Local Losers. This one promises to reach a far larger audience - possibly taking Mean Creek to an entirely new level.

What is it about the band that people get so excited about?  Their sets are eye-openers for sure. Fans do not forget Mean Creek and some even fall in love with their sound.  They are rugged, blue-collar and full of emotion, but beautiful artists, songwriters and human beings*. All these qualities shine through in the music. (*We enjoyed cheap beer and tour food with them all. And drummer Mikey Holland has even written a little for during the band's tours out on the road.)

They also have a wicked sense of humor.. Case in point, the music video for their advanced single from Local Losers, it's called Cool Town and it's clever if not subtle "riff" on Alanis Morissette's Ironic music video
