Evolfo Doofeht add Gypsy-Funk to The Outlaw Roadshow!

Confirmed to Play - Oct 17th
THE OUTLAW ROADSHOW
NEW YORK CITY

GYPSY FUNK COMES TO THE OUTLAW ROADSHOW! - I think I was only surprised by bands a dozen times last year and this band was responsible for two of those moments. EVOLFO DOOFEHT plays a unique style of music that bares influence from American funk, eastern European gypsy jazz, and garage soul. It is this combination of influences and the fact that they hail from all corners of the United States that they’ve coined the genre “Gypsy-funk”.

Formed in 2009 as the house band for a contemporary production of Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night”, Evolfo Doofeht has spent the last few years performing at colleges, festivals, and nightclubs all over the United States most recently playing a Sunday afternoon time slot at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco. It was during “Twelfth Night” that their interesting name was forged. The director deemed the band “The Food of Love”. Being mischievous as they are they reversed this charge. The first night of the play they introduced themselves as “Evolfo Doofeht”, the food of love spelled backwards.
