One to Watch: BLONDFIRE
New Artists on the Move
Brother-Sister Duo out of LA
by French Director Aurelien Levitan
LOS ANGELES - Erica's soft, breathy, haunting vocals are at the forefront of a sonic landscape in the vein of MGMT, the Smiths, and the Cardigans. Blondfire's songs have been featured in an iTunes Original EP and as the Free-Single-Of-The-Week in addition to appearing in films such as Monster-In-Law, Bangkok Dangerous and I Think I Love My Wife. They're also the first unsigned band to reach #1 on the iTunes Alternative chart.
Their album, Win The Game (out Nov 1) is self-produced. The lead sing (above), Where The Kids Are, was mixed by Wally Gagel (of Muse, Folk Implosion and Gorillaz fame.) Definitely One to Watch on the road ahead.
