Bring Out Your Dead!
Boston slays Halloween
by Julie Stoller
SWIRLING GHOSTS & SCORCHING COVERS - During this season when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, join in the tradition of great Boston-area bands who pay tribute to notable artists who have met an untimely demise, a contentious break-up, or are too stinkin’ famous to play at P.A.s Lounge. Or maybe you’re feeling particularly ghoulish and just want to polish your fangs and go out disco dancing. Whether it’s devotional or demonic forces that summon this weekend, we’ve got something for you.
There's quite a crowd represented this year, from Judas Priest to PJ Harvey, Nick Cave to The Beatles, Michael Jackson to Spinal Tap. Punk rock and prog rock; heavy metal hair bands and indie rock legends. Plus one recently departed soul, Amy Winehouse. Go forth and conjure some spirits.
