O'Death - Low Tide

O’Death may sound and look like a band from the backwoods of Tennessee with their finger picked bluegrass guitar, and their lead singer’s enormous beard. But they actually formed in New York, bringing a punk folk sound to the Brooklyn realm. So really, the beard works either way. Their new album Outside will be released on April 19th, and from the few released tracks already available, it’s clear they’ve taken their uncontrollable energy and harnessed it into a more varied and disciplined sound. The track “Bugs” is harmonized beautifully, and essentially makes you want to run through a field of daisies. They’ll be at Great Scott on Saturday with support from Allston’s own Cask Mouse and Philadelphia’s Grandchildren.

[Editor's Note: O'Death are One to Watch. My very favorite set from Newport last year. No one in the audience will be unchanged!!]
