SCALDING THE STAGE - 19-yr-old Baltimore rap sensation Rye Rye was recently featured in Nylon, Paper, Rolling Stone and New York Magazine. M.I.A. discovered Rye Rye after hearing her rap on DJ Blaqstarr’s 2006 club hit “Shake It Down To the Ground.” She brought the teenager out on the road with her and collaborated with Rye Rye on her first single “Bang.” Rye Rye performed at SxSW in Austin last March and at the Winter Music Conference in Miami before opening for The Gossip in April. Rye Rye's debut album, Go! Pop! Bang!, which will be released by M.I.A.’s Interscope Records imprint N.E.E.T. Records is anticipated to have an early 2011 release.

MIA and Mr. Lif are my favorite people in hip-hop right now. Anyone know when Mr. Lif is going to drop a new album? He hasn’t done any solo shit since I Heard it Today, right? ...there is a new track out though... he is on a remix of this funk band called Otis Grove. you can check out the track here: He should do more heavy/funky shit like this...
