MISS TESS - Critics have had a hard time assigning Tess’s music to a specific genre - that has certainly been the case here in Boston. The singer-songwriter, who recently relocated to Brooklyn, won a Boston Music Award for "Outstanding Folk Artist of the Year" (2008), in '09 she received a nomination for "Best Jazz Act", and earlier this year she was nominated for "Best Roots Act" by the Boston Phoenix. Her new EP is called The Waltz Set - and you can pick it up in town tonight. Here's a single from the new album.
