Lissie Postpones US Dates
on Dr's Orders:
6 US shows Postponed
Boston + NY are in Jeopardy
THIS JUST IN - Lissie has postponed her next six North American tour dates. On the advice of physicians, she is on vocal rest for a short time. Minneapolis, MN, Davenport, IA, Chicago, IL, Toronto, ON, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA concerts will be rescheduled in early 2011, and tickets already purchased will be honored.
News regarding her New York and Boston shows (October 22nd at the Hiro Ballroom - and 23rd at Cambridge's TT the Bears) will be announced shortly. [Ed's note: TT the Bears' website already lists this date as canceled - which does not bode well for the New York show (at Hiro Ballroom). Lissie's next date isn't until Oct. 26th in Glasgow. It wouldn't surprise this writer at all if she sat it out until then.]
STATEMENT - In regard to the postponed shows, Lissie said, "I'm incredibly disappointed that I had to postpone these dates. I saw a vocal doctor who said I needed to temporarily go on complete vocal rest, so of course I'm taking his advice. I sincerely apologize to those of you that had tickets and were excited. Believe me, I was excited too! I will be back as soon as possible, healthy and energized. Please know how much I appreciate your support and your patience with me in this time. Much love and peace, lissie."
Lissie's debut album Catching A Tiger was released August 17th on Fat Possum. Her debut network television performance, taped last week in Los Angeles, aired last night on NBC's Last Call With Carson Daly.
