FREE EVENT: BUMP
Sat., Aug 7th, from 4-7pm
Boston City Hall Plaza.

Sponsored by the City of Boston by the Mayor's office, The Boston Urban Music Project (BUMP) will feature a full spectrum of urban music including Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa with his charismatic and hammering execution of rhymes, and former Harvard student turned producer/songwriter/singer Ryan Leslie, nominated last year as “Best New Artist” and “Best Male R&B” artist at the BET Awards. The event kicks off with local flavor from Lynn lyricist M-Dot, who recently clinched the title of Best Hip-Hop Artist in the WFNX Boston 2010 Best Music Poll. Quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with, M-Dot is a main stay of college radio around the country. [Possibly of interest: an M-DOT interview] We are glad to throw our support behind such far-reaching local talent: Go M-Dot, go!

The Boston Urban Music Project is produced by the Mayor’s Office of Arts, Tourism & Special Events and Hub Media. The event is generously sponsored by MetroPCS and P&G Gillette. Media partners include METRO, Weekly Dig and Good Life.
