Ben Kweller Rocks A Boat

Photographic Evidence
by Mark Jenko
H20 - June 26, 2010

Kweller played before two rapt audiences

Ben Kweller is one of America's greatest contemporary performers. He's capable of playing the role of rock musician or (as in this case) delivering a hard-hitting small-concert performance with two backing musicians on a boat. Kweller and his band rolled into Boston late last month to play for Boston audiences on a boat. There he played some old favorites - a number of songs from Changing Horses (a tremendous album) which I have been listening to a great deal this summer.

If you haven't yet been on one of these cruises I would wholeheartedly encourage you. It's the same music - but far more intimate than a concert hall - and you get to go out into the harbor on a boat! Here are our photos...
