New Video from AM - Self Preservation

New Music Video Debut!
Someone You Should Know

Writing this to you today from a downtown hotel in Austin, TX - mere hours after being indoctrinated into our first night of unabashed debauchery at the South by Southwest Music Festival. It's been quite a ride and it only officially begun today. We are headed off to the Convention Center now - and later for another round of official and unofficial SxSW parties this evening.

Just wanted to share with you a new video that got uncorked last night on MTV - it's the unrelenting brilliance of AM - an RSL Best of Albums Pick for 2009 and somebody we told you (last August, actually) was going to be kicking big-time ass real soon. AM's a talented soul, mixing elements of folk Americana with modern rock and pop - there are clear elements of funk and soul in his music as well!

We really like AM's songwriting and presentation - his intelligent lyrics, and ironic rock mix well on his new album, Future Sons & Daughters. That LP draws from AM's own classic record collection: heavily anchored in 1960s albums, and interestingly - obscure Brazilian music to Italian soundtracks!
