Vampire Weekend are back.
You can probably count on one hand the number of times I have pushed televised concerts on you from these noble electronic pages. RSL has always been about the personal aspect of the live show. If you find yourself sans entertainment tonight we encourage you to seek out Letterman tonight as hipsters Vampire Weekend craftily re-emerge just in time to promote their sophomore album, Contra - out this week. We understand you can expect to hear the new song, Cousins.
Tonight's performance on Letterman will truly represent the rebirth of the band. Having appeared on the program some 48 weeks ago - and making a huge impression... Let's just say that there's a pretty high bar. And for skeptical fans like us (I can't help it), these early performances of the new material will help serve as an indicator of this band's real staying power....
Fans of Vampire Weekend can expect tonight's nationally-televised performance to kick off an all-out media blitz that will last the remainder of January as Contra will be released in less than a week. Following the videos below are tour dates and pre-sale ticketing information (which I am sure you could probably cook up somewhere else, but like, why would you?) Catch this band on tour. Most shows will sell out.
