JERRY GARCIA
Aug 1, 1942 – Aug 9, 1995

REMEMBERING - Jerry Garcia passed away 14 years ago today due to complications of battling a long drug addiction. The world lost an counter-culture icon and a music hero but what it got in return was a legend. While Jerry's music may not be have been to everyone's taste, Jerry's influence on music and popular culture are undeniable.

Like many, I remember exactly where I was when in 1995 when I heard about Jerry's passing. I of course was in mourning, but in the spirit of Jerry, I found joy in music, life, and love.

Take some time today and listen in a song that touches you, think about the beauty of life, and then listen to it again.

Grateful Dead - Deal
Waterbury, CT - Sept 23, 1972

RIP. It's a common problem and we hear of it often. I hope we find a solution to resolve this problem permanently.
