Devotchka's National Tour - Nothing for New England

HERE & GONE IN A BLINK OF AN EYE: We have been Devotchka devotees long before the film Little Miss Sunshine cast its loving glow across the band's talented brows - so imagine the flip flop of emotions this morning when I heard that the world's most talented multi-instrumentalists are embarking on a new national tour - and then, my heart sank when I learned that Devotchka is skipping the entire six-state New England area! Not a good decision. Let's hope that somebody over at Anti-Records sees the light of day and straightens this out.

A STUNNING LIVE BAND: Devotchka is comprised of individuals with origins and talents spanning the globe, each ingrained with their own particular cultural pasts. Using instruments to that effect (including sousaphones, accordions, upright bass and bouzoukis - along with more traditional stage instruments), this diverse ensemble successfully blends a multifaceted folk sound, thus designing an ethnicity of old and new, creating an unbelievable sonic showcase.
