Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots - The Flaming Lips live in London
In January 2003, the ever-artistic and talented Flaming Lips arrived at Kentish Town Forum in London to play a gig for the good folks there. The show would prove to be an exceptional one for a number of reasons. (Here are two of them...) First - the band would cover long dead and buried Pink Floyd classics (true relics!) and secondly - there was a truly exceptional seven minute- version of Yoshimi. It's one of the best versions of this Flaming Lips favorite I have ever heard. Listen for Wayne Coyne toying with the audience as he changes the feel and pace of the song. Brilliant.
