Another Rare Bob Dylan classic - The Little White Wonder Volume 2 (unreleased bootleg album)

Sharing Bob Dylan
A 1975 Bootleg Collection pressed in Italy:

Mr. Dylan in 1975

The story from my hand today, it's in great shape - probably for this very reason.

I had the songs burned from the vinyl to CD by a sound tech I ran into once.
It is a bootleg and because of that reason, no money is being directed to the artist and I have no absolutely no problem sharing with you.

History of this disc and prior recordings
- "Little White Wonder" -
Why it is important to the Dylan lineage.

This disk as with all of the "Little White Wonder" series bootleg albums are mashes of various bits of Dylan material. Each of these "Illegal in the USA" albums are are based on this very first series of bootleg albums pressed on the sly by an Italian marketer. All material on these discs had never before seen the light of day and was considered lost at the time.

I will explain: Prior to Columbia releasing "Bob Dylan: The Bootleg Series" (which every single human being should own!), it was a major bitch finding album outtakes and legendary live performances. This problem was due to two fundamental reasons. First is that they are just hard to find. (The only question is who has a copy?) The truly tough part - the mystery is that without context these recordings were hard to assemble and disseminate. What was the order? Who was Bob performing with, and where? What was the year?

Case in point - Little White Wonder Volume 2. What you have here is some material from producer Gil Turner and live recordings from the legendary Minnesota Tape Sessions. (These are must haves!) There are also outtakes for Times they are A-Changin' and Another Side of Bob Dylan.

Some of these album outtake recordings are somewhat unremarkable when compared with what is currently available to current Dylan show traders, but in 1975 - this record must have been some hot property! For this reason, several people in the states and abroad started manufacturing their own versions of "Little White Wonder" albums. Vol 1 and 2 and 3 were produced by the same Italian press company. Other copies sprang up in Europe and elsewhere with somewhat different track lists.

Money is always a motivator - which probably explains why most of these tracks would be released by Dylan and Columbia House records on the Bootleg Series. There is something to be said for revisiting the past. Today, I offer you the chance to listen to the album the way Dylan fanatics did back in '75 on this unauthorized classic. Enjoy!
