Boston - The Yeah Yeah Yeahs

Tonight - what a great time for free live music in Boston - and probably one of the last good shows this summer...

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs
&
TV on the Radio
play out live tonight in City Hall Plaza.

The YYYs, of course, are touring behind their ultra-cool 2006 "Show Your Bones" album. It's been touted near and wide (it made my top twenty albums of the last two years list).

And How could it not be great with Karen O's sultry voice?
The band should be absolutely smokin' hot having practiced for their live appearance earlier this week on the Conan O'Brien show.

Special Guests of the YYYs are NYC's TV on The Radio, darlings of the metropolitian New York and Philadelphia indie scenes. The band (which has supported a rolling membership over recent years and are also supporting a new album release with "Return to Cookie Mountain."

The core members are Tunde Adebimpe (vocals/loops), Kyp Malone (vocals/guitars/loops) and David Andrew Sitek (music/guitars/keys/loops) Jaleel Bunton (drums) & Gerard Smith (bass). They record and play live with their circle of friends, including Katrina Ford of the band Celebration (vocals), Martin Perna (flute/bari & alto sax) of Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra and Nick Zinner (guitar) of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

This page is under construction right now, but there are video feeds.
P.S. - TV's Dave Sitek actually produced the YYYs last album
If there are any bloggers out there planning to take pix at the YYY show, please let me know!

...
The most underrated band playing clubs in England right now.
