Wild Light: I hadn't seen before, but my friend caught them awhile back and said it seemed like a record company got a hold of them and subtracted/added members. She didn't remember the tatted emo boy singing. I thought it was a band in need of good songs... The "main" guy had the best voice. The Emo dude seemed like a douche--I can't stand pretentious affectation. As long as this band is riding trends this band will never go anywhere. It's like the same old thing, but nothing new or interesting added to the formula.

I saw Doves in 2001 in Denver and they were amazing. This was their 1st American tour supporting Lost Souls.

Unfortunately this show didn't come close... I was a little disappointed. Don't get me wrong I LOVE THIS BAND. In fact, I was especially ill but still managed to drag my bum out. The first three songs the drummer couldn't quite get "synched up" with all the sequencers. Everyone was kind of looking around like, "wtf is going on?" That's one thing I really abhor... it seemed like only 40% of the music was actually live.

BUT I just love their songs and the vocals... it was a very long set and probably only Seasong is the only song I wanted to hear they DIDN'T play.Davidnoreply@blogger.com
